CoolCove is a compact, lightweight climate companion that slips into any room, plugs into any standard outlet, and quietly reshapes the air around you — without installation, without tools, without compromise.
Most portable air conditioners force you to choose between power and convenience. CoolCove rejects that compromise. A brushless inverter compressor, dual-hose airflow, and a ceramic PTC heating element live inside a chassis that weighs less than a carry-on suitcase. The result is a unit that cools a sun-drenched studio in August and warms a drafty bedroom in January — and rolls quietly between them on hidden casters.
A capacitive touch panel and full-function remote put every climate setting within reach. Schedule on and off windows, dial in a target temperature between 16°C and 32°C, and let adaptive eco-mode trim compressor cycles to match the room's thermal load. A brushed-aluminium backlit display fades to black after ten seconds of inactivity, so the unit disappears into the room.
CoolCove's inverter drive modulates compressor speed in 1 Hz increments, matching output to demand rather than cycling hard and idle. Independent lab testing pegs seasonal energy efficiency at 4.1 CEER — roughly 35% better than the fixed-speed portable category average. For a household running the unit eight hours a day, the savings are real money back, summer after summer.
The dual-hose architecture pulls return air from outside, isolating the hot-side heat exchanger from the room. Cool air stays cool. The condenser exhaust is vented through a single 150 mm window adapter that fits sliding, casement, and hung windows alike — no drilling, no brackets left behind. A reusable washable pre-filter and an activated-carbon secondary filter capture dust, pollen, and household odours before they reach the evaporator.
At full cooling output CoolCove registers 48 dB at one metre — quieter than a domestic refrigerator. In Sleep Mode the compressor drops to 1 100 rpm, the display switches off entirely, and the sound floor settles to 38 dB, roughly the volume of leaves turning. A viscoelastic damping cradle isolates the compressor from the chassis, and the louver motor is mounted on a separate floating sub-frame. The result is a unit that lets a baby's monitor, a recording session, or a long-distance call go on undisturbed.
CoolCove weighs 24 kg and rides on four medical-grade swivel casters, two of them locking. The recessed side handle is moulded into the chassis, so there is nothing to unscrew, fold, or assemble. Lift it over a threshold, wheel it into the home office, plug it in, and you have climate control in under two minutes. Store it in a closet between shoulder seasons — its footprint is 35 × 38 cm, smaller than a carry-on.
Whether you are cooling a nursery, heating a studio, drying a basement after a storm, or simply moving a current of fresh air through a kitchen on a still August afternoon, CoolCove is a single appliance calibrated to do all of it. The included window kit ships in a flat-pack sleeve that fits inside the product carton, so there is no extra box to find a home for.
We wanted to design a climate appliance that respects the room it lives in — quietly, electrically, and aesthetically. CoolCove is that appliance.— The CoolCove Engineering Team
